Have you heard the saying “breakfast is the most important meal of the day”? Me too. But what do you do when breakfast isn’t your favourite meal of the day?

I personally don’t have a morning appetite and having to prepare and physically eat a meal is a lot for me. However, since being on my vegan journey, I’m finally starting to enjoy breakfast. Why you ask – well I drink my breakfast every morning.
Starting your day with a green smoothie is a great way to fuel your body. Green smoothies are a simple way to get all that good nutrients in first thing in the morning. It gives your body and foggy brain an extra boost you need to tackle those busy mornings.
There is a variety of quick and easy smoothies you can make every morning.
Pinterest is my go-to for finding new smoothie recipes. If you short for time in the mornings, you can prepare all your ingredients the night before. That way you can just throw everything in the blender when you wake up.
You’ve probably heard of this green smoothie but it’s my go-to morning smoothie and I absolutely love it!

All you need is:
1 Cup of baby spinach or kale
1 apple
1 banana
1 cucumber
½ cup of celery
sprinkle of lemon
It’s very simple and refreshing! Sometimes I chop and change the ingredients and add pineapple, mango or even strawberries. Depends on what I have in the fridge. Experimenting with your smoothies is a great way to find the one you love and that makes you feel more energized. It’s all about trial and error till you find your perfect morning smoothie!
